If we could remember, Nokia has released the Lumia 920 to start its series Windows 8 phones. It was marketed as a phone that marked a new chapter of Nokia devices. During the Mobile World Congress, Nokia brought in two other devices in addition to the Nokia Windows Phone 8 series. Two successors of the Lumia edition were revealed at the said event. These are the Nokia Lumia 720 and Nokia Lumia 520.
The Nokia Lumia 720 is not going to be available in the U.S. market so as to keep its price rate low. It is set to aim the markets that don’t have the LTE 4G feature yet. The phone will be considered as a high profile phone in markets or countries that are still on the rise. The phone possesses the special ClearBlack Technology. This technology sets the phone apart from the others, since its glass is set to be curved to have the front of the phone have a very smooth surface. However, this means it will be a hard time to take the battery out because of its design. It has a 4.3 inch screen which is fair enough for portable use. The camera has a Carl Zeiss f/1.9 lens specifically made to get good results even in dim lighting.
The Nokia Lumia 720 has a company during its launch, the Nokia Lumia 520. The Lumia 520 on the other hand will be available in the U.S. market. It will be distributed by T-Mobile of U.S.A., it is the one authorized to distribute the phone as of the moment. The phone has a 4.0 inch display. It is amazing that its screen can still capture information even if the user is wearing gloves. It is powered by a processor that has 1GHz capacity which is a Snapdragon S4 dual-core. It has a 5MP camera with a built-in storage of 8GB. The memory is also expandable using a memory card. It is estimated to have a price tag less than $50 and will be available in the middle of the year.
Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 are a few of Nokia’s entry for the Windows 8 powered phones that have set high expectations in the market. Nokia also releases two other handsets that could not be considered as a phone with high specifications, Lumia 301 and Lumia 105, that have the basic call and messaging features only. Nokia now has phones ranging from 500-900 with different features in a variety of prices to choose from. It is a great strategy to encourage users to experience Nokia phones. After the latest release, there are no plans for the company to introduce a new one yet.
