Ever since the news reported that a new Nexus is being manufactured by Google and LG companies, leaks have started to fill the internet. Even Google accidentally made the device available in its Play Store with some included technicalities and price. It is valued around $349 for the model with 16 GB of internal storage. Although we are not sure if this information will remain intact when the Google Nexus 5 is finally released in retail stores, we can expect that this new tablet is going to be very interesting for the consumers.

White Chassis

The last time that the Google Nexus 5 was leaked, we saw the tablet with a regular black color that most devices in the market also have. However, it seems that the manufacturers Google as well as LG are choosing a different strategy in their next generation device. According to the Twitter account of @evleaks which is mostly the source of unauthorized gadget tips, there is a chance that the Nexus 5 will also come out in a soft white chassis. There is an image that consumers can check on the internet and we admit that it does look like the previous image that we saw on Google Play Store.

Specifications

If you have not heard yet, the Google Nexus 5 is rumored to contain the latest version of the Android operating system which is the 4.4 KitKat. Display-wise, it is said to showcase 4.95 inches of screen that will have the capability to display the full 1080p HD quality for the images. The Snapdragon 800 chipset is also said to power the device. It will have a clock speed of 2.3 GHz which is already a remarkable number. Finally, it will have 2 GB of RAM, LTE connectivity and radio as well as 2300 mAh battery capacity. If the $349 price is going to be retained, this device is certainly looking pretty reasonable and neat.

Release Dates

There have been a lot of news regarding the official launch date of the Google Nexus 5 and some of it included dates that have already passed. There was a rumor surrounding October 15 but the day passed without even a comment from Google. Almost 10 days later, the company had an event in New York but it turned out that it was only for some press releases. Currently, there are still two dates feasible for the official release. MobileSyrup is believing that it will be on October 31 while, according to the same information by @evleaks, the latest launch date is going to be on the first day of November. Whichever is true, experts as well as consumers are just glad that it will be sooner than later.
