Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat Will Have Touchless Control

Yes, it is official. Google will be incorporating the same Touchless Control that the Motorola mobile phone company showcased in their Moto X handset. A few days ago, Google updated more than a lot of its major applications which hinted that the Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system may be nearing its official launch. True enough, when the Google Nexus 5 was unveiled to the worldwide consumers, it sported the new mobile OS and the similar updated applications. This is the first look that people will have on the KitKat version and they are discovering some added features.

Google Search And Google Now

Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat Will Have Touchless ControlThe advanced tweaks that the internet brand integrated specifically focused on Google Search as well as Now. First of all, the Nexus 5 will now have the capability to set and recognize keywords when being activated. The voice search catered by Google Now will automatically do the commands that the user speaks as long as the keyword is set beforehand.

Aside from this, the Android 4.4 KitKat also allowed to create a dialogue with its user. This means that the mobile operating system can also talk back if and when it needs to clear search inquiries from the user. Basically, this is useful when accessing contacts and barking commands related to them. For instance, if the user said “Text Joanne”, the KitKat can respond “Which Joanne?” – which makes the entire handset smarter.

Accurate Voice Recognition

In addition to the improvements made for the Google Search and Google Now, the Android 4.4 KitKat also enhanced its capabilities for “speech recognition”. According to the manufacturer, it is now 25 percent more precise than before. However, if some of the users prefer to access their Now without speaking a command, they can just simply swipe Nexus 5’s screen to the left direction. Before the new mobile OS, it was a swipe from the bottom of the screen and upwards.

On the other hand, the Google Now was also incorporated with a variety of “contextual cards”. To have a friendly interface, it added display information that is going to be dependent on what the user is doing. For instance, it can update ticket listings if you are watching a theater show and inform you about what is happening on your favorite television show. If you searched for a recipe, it will not only display the results but also give you information about the restaurants in your area that serves it.

At present, all of these Search and Now upgrades are only available if you purchase the Google Nexus 5. However, tech reporters and researchers are expecting that sooner or later, the Android 4.4 KitKat will also be made available for other devices.
