iPad 5 and iPad Mini to be Released in March

Shortly after the release of the iPad 4 and the launch of the iPad Mini, rumors started to spread about the potential release dates of the newest versions of these devices from the Cupertino-based company.

The logical course of events says the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini are going to be released at some point in 2013 and so far, two potential months of release have been mentioned. The initial rumors were pointing out October, but latest predictions suggest we’re going to see the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 in March.

Sources say the iPad Mini 2 is being manufactured at the moment and is known under the codename J85. It could come with pretty much the same specs that were seen on the original iPad Mini, but it could sport a new and more powerful A7 processor. A screen that will be even better than the retina display is also likely to be featured on the iPad Mini 2.

Rumors say the price of the iPad Mini 2 will be determined by the prices of its biggest competitors – Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. Other sources say it’s highly unlikely Apple will drop the price of the iPad Mini 2, regarding the price of the iPad Mini, which starts at $329.

Apple hopes the second generation iPad Mini would be more successful than its predecessor.

As for the iPad 5, rumors say it will keep the same retina display, but it will boost the display resolution. The screen should remain the same size of 9.7 inches. IOS 7 is expected to be introduced on WWDC, so the iPad 5 will definitely take the advantages of iOS 7.

Analyst Gene Munster stated the new iPad 5 will be completely redesigned and will closely resemble the design of the iPad Mini and the iPhone 5. If this turns out to be true, the iPad will get its major design change since the release of the iPad 2.

Newest iPad will be also lighter and thinner than its predecessor and will feature the new lighting connector, as well as improved LTE support.

Rumors that circulate the Web suggest the release of these Apple devices in 2013 is imminent. But, why do we have two different releases and just one release date? Reports say Apple is going to launch the two devices at the same time. Do we see a new release trend on the horizon? 2013 will be much more interesting than we imagined. Stay tuned for more information.
