We have a very important update for UK based consumers who are using the international version of Samsung Galaxy S3. Some days ago, there were reports saying that Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3 in UK. But it seems that this update is causing a number of problems to consumers instead of actually helping them out!
So if you are a Samsung Galaxy S3 consumer based in the UK, we suggest that you do not update your smartphone to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. You might see the update notification automatically or when you manually check for it, but even then we suggest that you do not get the update!
If you haven’t heard about the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, we have the change log here for you. Take a good look at this list because it includes all the changes and features that you were supposed to get one you update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

So now that we have your attention, we want to tell you that you will still get these changes and features but now is not the right time. Consumers who upgraded their handsets to this new firmware version have reported a number of problems that have not only affected them but also literally devastated the usability of the device.
What we want to say is that the problems are issues are severe and have already raised a red alert for Samsung. Without making you wait any further, here is the list of problems that have already been reported:
- Reduced battery life
- Major performance lags
- Inconsistent Wi-Fi connections
- App crashes every now and then
- Device locks up on lockscreen and does not respond at all
Out of these issues, the last one has been irritating many consumers! There have been cases wherein the Samsung Galaxy S3 gets locked up on the lockscreen and there is nothing you can do after that. The home button, power button and the volume buttons will be of no use. The only way out is to remove the battery (i.e. completely cut power supply) and then put it back again.
As of now, it is being said that Samsung has pulled off the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware update. The company has to work on these problems and issues and get them solved as soon as possible. Galaxy S3 consumers have already waited for a long time for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, which in a way is already old since Google has officially unveiled Android 4.4 KitKat.
