When the Motorola G was released, it received positive reviews in terms of its bright colors, impressive specifications and fair price. Unfortunately, it broke some hearts when Motorola did decided not to sell it outside of the United States market. Thankfully, the company made a lower-end version of the Moto X which will be available worldwide. Called the Motorola Moto G, it will have the similar color options and design but with a cheaper price for the consumers. It is already available to purchase in the United Kingdom, Brazil and a few other parts of Europe. It will be available in the US and other parts of the world on January
Physical Build And Display
The Motorola Moto G is incorporated with the same design that the Moto X have. You can see the back with its minimalist features and the front with the plastic ridge around the screen. Generally, it looks simple but with the Kevlar coat just like the Razr handsets, it spins an aggressive feel on a different level. In terms of the technical details, the Moto G showcases 4.5 inches of diagonal screen size which is slightly smaller than the Moto X with only 4.7 inches. Still, it makes a very comfortable mobile phone to use and bring everywhere. On the other hand, the Moto G is also available in two configurations. One has 16 GB of storage while the other has 32 GB. Unfortunately, it does not have a MicroSD card for external memory.
Software And Hardware
Just like most smartphones in the market, the Motorola Moto G is running the Google Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. But because of the fact that the Android 4.4 KitKat is already available in the market, Motorola assured its customers that the Moto G will be incorporated with an update by January 2014. Meanwhile, this smartphone also has the Touchless control which was the flagship feature by Motorola. This means that users can dictate recognizable commands and the smartphone will immediately execute it. Finally, in terms of the hardware, the Moto G is powered by a processor with quad-core chip and 1.2 GHz of clock speed. Essentially, it is smaller than what the Moto X has.
Other Technical Details
The Motorola Moto G only has a 720p display screen which means that it does not necessarily compete with the other premium mobile phones available in the market. However, if you consider its wide specs, you will see that this is an impressive handset with a cheap price. If you are interested in buying this device, you should wait for the full review to know more about it. But, considering what we already saw, we expect that it will be very likable for consumers.
