Apple has rolled out the Apple iOS 7.0.4 OS update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This new update brings along a number of buy fixes and improvements, and we suggest that you get the update if you have been facing problems on your current iOS version.
Till last Friday, Apple iOS 7.0.3 was the latest version of the company’s most advanced operating system. But as it turns out, this highly advanced operating system also needs regular updates in order to ensure smooth functioning and take care of bugs and problems that cause trouble to end users.
According to the information provided by Apple, this new iOS 7.0.4 update comes with “bug fixes and improvements, including a fix for an issue that causes FaceTime calls to fail for some users.” The update will also change the iOS 7 build version to 11B554a.
The good part is that the update is just 17MB in size and is currently being rolled out for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Here are the complete details:
- iPhone – iPhone 4 or higher
- iPad – iPad Mini, iPad 2 and higher
- iPod Touch – iPod Touch
Apple iOS 7.0.4 can be downloaded directly through your iOS device (over the air) as well as using iTunes. You are free to choose the method you want, but just keep in mind that if you are interested in jailbreaking and stuff, you should wait for sometime and ensure that updating your iOS device will not cause problems for you later. But if you are a regular consumer, then the update should help you a lot.
Apart from the standard ‘bug fixes and improvements’ part, you should also note that the iOS 7.0.4 update takes care of the purchase problems reported by many consumers. It so happens that a previous version of iOS 7 had a security issue due to which you could end up purchasing an entire app or an in-app purchase without proper authentication.
