With 1700 mAh of capacity, the W2 can last for 9.5 hours of talk time which can still be improved through Huawei’s power-saving technology. Huawei is not a newcomer when it comes to manufacturing smartphones but even the Huawei Ascend W2 has a few flaws that need to be improved. Although these are not deal-breaker issues, consumers still need to know what they are. For instance, the display settings are only supporting 800 x 480 pixels. The 4.3-inch of diagonal screen size is enough but there should be a much larger screen resolution. On the other hand, we would also like to point out that the W2 only has 512 MB of RAM – even though Huawei compromised by incorporating 8 GB for the internal storage. In the same way, this smartphone lacks a few necessary ports like the MicroSD memory card reader.
Weighing The Benefits And Drawbacks
At this point, we can already say that the Huawei Ascend W2 is a reasonable gadget if we consider its specifications and its internal software features. It is a Windows Phone which means that it has all the necessary Microsoft applications. It runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which means that it can be reasonably fast. Even with a few flaws, we think that this smartphone is competitive enough
