Tablet Review – Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7

If you think about it, almost all of the different brands of different gadget services have their own lineup of electronic devices. The Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7 is a perfect example of this. After Verizon announced that it will release it on November 7, a lot of people started talking how much it would cost or how will it do in the tablet industry. Will it be able to compete against the tech giants like Samsung and Lenovo or will it be a mid-range device manufactured for the budget conscious? Available in the official store of Verizon, the Ellipsis 7 had a starting price of $149.99 with a contract agreement for two years.

Design, Camera And Hardware

Let us take this review one step at a time. First of all, the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7 measures 7.72 inches x 4.94 inches x 0.4 inches and weighs .79 pounds. For most people, this is a lightweight and portable electronic handset which can be brought into different places. Users can bring it to their workplace if they need it or if they want to take pictures when going out with their family. Speaking of which, the Ellipsis 7 has 3.2 megapixels for its primary camera. Unfortunately, this is considerably low if you compare this handset with the others available in the market. Finally, Verizon packed its flagship handset with a quad-core processor integrated with its own graphical interface. It has 1.2 GHz which, of course, has the potential to be fast but also the possibility to be slow at times.

Software, Display And Battery

Tablet Review - Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7Viewed horizontally, the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7 has 7 inches of diagonal screen size which features an IPS LCD technology. It showcases 1280 x 800 pixels which exhibits acceptable displays – but, of course, it could have been better with a larger screen resolution. Meanwhile, the Ellipsis 7 is supported by the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system which means that it also has most of the Google applications like Chrome, Plus, Maps and Play Store. According to Verizon, their flagship device will also come with an access to the video streaming services of Redbox Instant and Verizon Messages. The last one in this category is the battery. Even though Verizon did not exactly say how long the 4000 mAh capacity can last, we expect that it will be long enough to cater satisfaction of consumers.

Choosing Specs And Features

Every device has its own advantages and disadvantages. Weighing the two in the case of the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7, we can say that it is still a considerable handset to buy. It is affordable and can cater enough services especially for Android fanatics.

Are you planning on replacing your old tablet with the Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7?
