Microsoft successfully sells 1 million units of Microsoft Xbox One in the first 24 hours, some of them were faulty and will be replaced

We have some really exciting news for Microsoft Xbox fans and consumers – the Microsoft Xbox One console has finally gone on sale and even crossed the 1 million sales mark within the first 24 hours.

The day that we all have been waiting for is finally here; the era that we were looking forward to has finally begun! The Sony PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One are both available in the market for sale and have already started making and breaking records all over the world.

The battle that was put on hold many years ago has finally gone to the next round. After watching the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 battle it out for so many years we finally enter the next generation of gaming and things have started to look more than great right from day one!

Remember when Sony launched the Sony PlayStation 4 console; the company was able to sell more than 1 million units in the first 24 hours! Well, we are extremely happy to announce that the same is the case with Microsoft and its Xbox One gaming console. The Microsoft Xbox One proved to be a big hit and it did not only cross the 1 million sales mark, but at the same time the pre-orders have also sold out in a number of countries.

Important Things That You Should Know About The Xbox One

The first person to buy the Microsoft Xbox One gaming console was from New Zealand, and from midnight the console has been up for sale in more than 13 countries around the world. The team at Microsoft strongly believes that the Xbox One will definitely beat the Sony PS4 and take the lead once again.

New Xbox One owners could hardly wait to test their new consoles and get their hands on the new controller! Consumers have been playing a number of games on the Xbox One console and here are some interesting numbers related to gameplay in the first 24 hours after the console was released:

  • Over 60 million zombies killed in Dead Rising 3
  • More than 3.6 million miles traveled in Forza Motorsport 5
  • More than 7.1 million combos in Killer Instinct
  • More than 8.5 million of enemies defeated in Ryse: Son of Rome
  • 4.3 million Points earned in Xbox Fit Fitness

Unfortunately though, there were a number of cases where the Blu-Ray player does not allow you to install games and play them. This seems to be a hardware related problem, and most probably it’s because of a defective lens. The good point is that Microsoft has taken this seriously and ensures that it will help consumers get rid of the problems. Microsoft issued the following statement as an assurance to its beloved customers:
“The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers. We’re working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers.”

Round One – SALES!
We would love to see the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One go head to head in a battle that will virtually destroy planet Earth. We are totally looking forward to this battle, but for now we have just finished round one.

For us, ‘Round One’ would be the official launch and day one sales for the consoles. Surprisingly, both the Sony PlayStation 4 as well as the Microsoft Xbox One have outperformed and crossed the 1 million sales mark. Both these consoles were able to reach the 1 million mark in the first 24 hours itself and another interesting part is that some small number of faulty consoles were sold in both cases!

All this gives us an even better reason to call round one to be a draw! So according to us, the score for now is 1-1. We want to start round 2 right away, but you are the ones to judge, so check it out.

Round Two – GAMES!
We think that the best criteria for round two would be the games that are available for each of these consoles. We know that the Sony PlayStation 4 as well as the Microsoft Xbox One are not just gaming consoles anymore. They offer a lot of additional content, features and functionality but we still want to stick to the reason why these consoles were made originally – hardcore games!

So we ask you to vote for the gaming console that you like the most. We request you to give your vote depending upon the number of options and variety of games offered by the consoles. Bigger numbers do not always mean better games; it’s the quality we are looking out for. So we have the list of games available for the Sony PS4 and the Xbox One here for you. Go through the list and pick your winner!
