Acer officially unveils the Acer C720P Chromebook with touchscreen display; priced at $299

We have great news for chromebook fans and consumers – Acer has officially introduced its new touchscreen Chromebook named the Acer C720P. The Acer C720P can be considered as an evolved version of the Acer C720, and you get a list of new and added features for $299!

With the unveiling of the Acer C720P chromebook, the company is back in the battle for the best chromebooks in the market. Acer’s C720 had already made a name for itself thanks to the extremely low price tag and the long list of features added to the laptop. The Acer C720 is an 11.6-inch chromebook that is available in the market for $249, but things will soon change when the Acer C720P enters the market with an economical price tag of $299.

“Our new touchscreen C720P gives customers an intuitive way to browse sites online, enjoy apps, and do more with the Chromebook. The Acer C720 Chromebook line has been praised for its performance and battery life, and this new touchscreen model allows us to address the needs of an even wider range of customers with exciting new capabilities. We’re certain many holiday shoppers will jump at the chance to get a touchscreen Chromebook for just $299.99,” said Arif Maskatia, CTO for Acer.

So if you haven’t guessed it already, the most important and useful feature you will get in the Acer C720P is the touchscreen display! The Acer C720P chromebook might not be as good as the Google Chromebook Pixel, but considering their price tags, we don’t need to do any of that.

The Acer C720P chromebook has an 11.6-inch touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and pixel density of 135 ppi. The chromebook is equipped with Intel’s Celeron 2955U Haswell CPU and is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, Intel HD graphics and has 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The chromebook is backed up a 3950 mAh battery that will keep the lights on for about 8 hours.

We will soon bring you a detailed review of the Acer C720P chromebook for you, but for now we have the list of key specs here for you. The Acer C720P chromebook will be available for purchase in early December and will soon be offered by online retailers like, Best Buy and the Acer Store. You just have to keep aside $299 out of your regular expenses and the chromebook will be yours.

In order to make the deal unbelievably attractive and give the best possible offers to consumers, Acer is offering a lot of goodies with the deal! For instance, you will get up to 100GB of free Google Drive storage for the first two years, plus 12 free Gogo inflight passes that will allows you to stay online even in flights. Touchscreen on a laptop seems superfluous.

    Now a -backlit keyboard-….
That would be a feature I would pay extra for!
