In a recent press release, Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has officially introduces 3 new color options for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android flagship phablet. These 3 new color options are – Rose Gold Black, Rose Gold White and Merlot Red.

Even though black and white color options are not exactly new, they still add to the variety of color options available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So to say, Rose Gold Black and Rose Gold White are just new accents of the two popular color options that are already being offered by the company, they are Jet Black and Classic White.

“At Samsung Mobile, we understand that consumers view their mobile devices as an extension of their personal style, and Samsung is committed to delivering fresh ways for consumers to express themselves. By introducing these new editions of Galaxy Note 3, we want to provide our fashion-forward consumers with more ways to express their personality and tastes through our technology,” said Younghee
Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, I.T. & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics.

Now if you were wondering about what’s so different in these new color options and why you should choose them over the previous ones, our main reason would be gold! So the difference is that instead of the standard silver colored frame surrounding the sides of the device, the new color options use golden color instead. By the way, the golden color option is also applicable to the camera, Home Key and S-Pen. But the Merlot Red color option still has all these parts in silver, the gold color is applicable only for the new black and white color options.

So if you have been planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, then we suggest that you wait for a few more weeks so that you can get your hands on one of these new color options! The Rose Gold White edition of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be available in the Chinese market this month itself. The other two color options (Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red) will be available in international markets, but you will have to wait for a few more months.

Technically speaking, there is no difference whatsoever in the hardware specifications and features offered by the original Samsung Galaxy Note 3 models and these new colored versions. The changes are purely visual, so you will not have to worry about speed, power or performance just because the golden colored frame Note 3 units are new. Hence you can freely choose between the original color options if the new golden color does not appeal to you. There will not even be any differences in the pricing of these new devices, remember that they are just new color options.

So are you excited about these new color options from Samsung? Would you have been happier if Samsung would have rolled out these options at the time the Galaxy Note 3 was unveiled? Would you trade your current Note 3 phablet for any of the new color options mentioned above? Do let us know about your feedback and suggestions in the comments section below.

Lastly, if you have still not bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but are looking forward to it, be sure to take a look at the key specifications and features of the phablet.
