Great news Google Nexus 5 consumers – Google will soon be rolling out the first firmware update for Android 4.4 KitKat for your devices! The update will upgrade your operating system version to Android 4.4.1 KitKat and will take care a number of bugs and bring a number of improvements to your device.
The Google Nexus 5 was expected to be one legendary smartphone! But as time passed by and as consumers started buying and reviewing the Google Nexus 5, things started to change! The Google Nexus 5 is definitely powerful; it has to be since its powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. But there were a number of specs and features that didn’t keep up to the name and fame of the Nexus series.
Two of the most important issues with the Google Nexus 5 are related to battery and camera. The 2300 mAh battery on the Nexus 5 was not able to keep up with heavy usage and consumers had to end up recharging their phones more than once a day. In a way, that is something that can be managed by consumers, but the other problem really got on their nerves – camera performance!
Similar to the Google Nexus 4, the Google Nexus 5 also had an 8 MP primary camera. But in spite of the hype created by Google about the new camera and its performance, it was not able to actually perform that way. The camera (and also the battery) disappointed a number of consumers, making them uncomfortable about their purchase.
But you don’t have to worry anymore since Google is here to take care of it! And the company has already fixed a number of problems and issues that might be getting in your way. That’s all going to be taken care of with the Android 4.4.1 KitKat update. There will be a number of other improvements and bug fixes as well, but once again a lot of focus have been given to the improvements made to the camera.
