Apple has been very successful in its sales for Apple iPads – iPad, iPad2 and the latest release, the iPad4. The iPad4 was launched October of last year that is equipped with Retina Display. Retina display is the one that gives life to the MacBook Air screens. Together with iPad4 was iPad Mini, which wasn’t expected to get high sales prior to its launch. The little iPad is set to sell more than 40 million of its kind while the other iPad series is aiming a 60 million sales rate.

Apple did not expect the iPad Mini to give it a high sales rate. It turned out that the mini device gave the company a good fight for selling more units than the other models. According to David Hsieh, the mini Apple device is turning out to be more famous than the iPads. After the high sales rate of the small iPad, the company has decided to target selling 55 million units and decreased the 9.7 inch iPads to 33 million units only. At the end of this year, the company is targeting to sell up to 254 million handsets this year, almost half of the sales last year that reached up to 160 million in figures. Due to the high sales of the device, it is being rumored that the Apple is currently in the middle of developing a number of series of the device.

These rumors started when an internet forum in China posted what seem to be the photos of the next iPad Mini. The photos showed the rear case of the rumored next series, but these are still allegations and not yet proven to be true. The device is available in three different types of built-in memory storage, the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It has a front camera with 2MP and a back camera with 5MP. The devices with wireless capabilities are also available and have higher prices, ranging from $459-$659. The device is also distributed by Sprint, Verizon and AT&T.
