Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS made a revolutionary twist in new laptop manufacturing and now more and more companies are trying to customize their computers for the use of Microsoft’s newest operating system.

Touchscreen laptops are coming out rapidly and Dell happens to follow the trend. Newest addition from the company includes Dell 15z Inspiron Ultrabook. Most of the touch-friendly laptops that have been recently released featured smaller displays, but this Dell laptop offers larger screen for great Windows 8 experience.

We can notice the improved design, in comparison to other Inspiron models and we can definitely state that it’s a pretty good-looking laptop. As a matter of fact, it can be even compared to Apple’s products, as its brushed-metal chassis with grey touch gives the impression of a high-end device.

Dell 15z Inspiron Ultrabook Touch comes with a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317-U processor and 6GB of RAM, as well as a 500GB 5.400rpm + 32GB SSD hard drive.

The most annoying thing on 15z Inspiron is its low resolution display, which is 15.6 inches and has only 1366×768 pixels. The device is capable of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. Its Intel HD4000 graphics enable you to play a wide range of high-end games, which will make many gamers happy.

With Dell 15z Inspiron you can totally enjoy in Microsoft’s Windows 8. The nice display, which is covered with glass from edge to edge, gives you the Windows 8 interface in a nice view. It’s a pity the resolution is so low, I must say.

The 6-cell 44WHr battery inside the 15z Inspiron is an acceptable battery, allowing a performance of about 5 hours, including running a video playback.

Dell 15z Inspiron Ultrabook has a price tag of $899, which is not very expensive for a computer of this caliber. There are cheaper versions, but they lack the touch-friendly screen.
