The rumors about the possible reveal of the Galaxy S5 by Samsung in Q1 of 2014 are getting stronger. People who were desperate to see with what this company has came up when Samsung revealed the Galaxy S4, seemed little bit disappointed. It seems this disappointment has been noticed by the Korean smartphone manufacturer and they want to fix things up. With all those speculations and rumors that showed up and the lack of smartphone revealing on CES 2014, maybe Samsung has the main card up in their sleeve and saves the best for later. Let’s see all the details that possibly will become a part of the Galaxy S5.
For all those Galaxy fans that have been waiting for ‘the metal touch’ to happen, they could end this waiting because the Galaxy S5 will probably feature a metal design. Many leaked photos that have showed this handset with metal frame, still didn’t tells us whether it will be fully covered in metal or it will remain with polycarbonate (plastic) made body. It’s important to note that the plastic built was the main reason that this smartphone was so much criticized.
It could possibly have rounded edges because Samsung has filled for design patent recently. From the patent application we could notice those rounded corners and hardware buttons.
According to the latest speculations, the resolution will be something that hasn’t been seen by now boosting 2560×1440 resolution and really high 560ppi pixel density.
Right after Apple revealed its iPhone 5S with a 64-bit processor, Samsung has made a promise that they will do the same thing in order to compete with its biggest competitor. There is a big possibility that the Galaxy S5 will feature the Exynos 6 processor chip, but we can’t exclude the possibility to go with the Snapdragon 800 chip that will be clocked at 2.4GHz. The latest rumors reveal that the processor will be helped with Adreno 330 GPU. Alongside this, it’s expected to have 3GB of RAM that will get it closer to the Galaxy Note 3.
Some other features like the camera or the eye-canner will also be improved. If the Galaxy S4 brought us partial eye-scanner helped by the sensors, this feature could be upgraded. The rumors have revealed that the camera will be upgraded to 16 megapixels from 13 mpix currently seen on the Galaxy S4. The sources say Samsung LSI and Sony are on the run bidding for getting the main place for biggest supplier of the new CMOS image sensors for this smartphone.
