Android 4.4 KitKat was released as a result of the mutual respect and collaboration with the KitKat chocolate factory. They have even set the large brand in front of their main office and in return, KitKat has set the Android logo on their chocolate bars. While many people have been waiting for a brand new Android version that will start the Android 5.0 OS series, they got this Android 4.4 KitKat version. Several updates have been brought with this OS version, but according to many users who have already tried it, Google needs to do so much better for bringing more features and upgrade some of the old ones in future.
However, the main reason why we are here is that Samsung S4 users will finally get their Android 4.4 KitKat version in the next OS update. They have been waiting for so long to start using it on their device, but the people working on the final touches of this OS have stalled to release it after the holidays. SamMobile has announced that they entered the testing period of the firmware and it will be ready for its prime time pretty soon. The statement released by them says that the firmware version marked as “I9505XXUFNA1” have minor bugs that need to be fixed which is expected in every test build. It’s still unknown whether they will release it right away to the customers or they will launch it only for the developers first.
They have revealed that there will be some noticeable changes, such as white status bar icons which will look amazing on the top. Alongside other performance upgrades, SamMobile people have said that it will have slight boost in its performance and the scores of the benchmarks have shown slight increase. The layout of the keyboard by Samsung has been improved and it will be much easier. The camera shortcut also received slight upgrade and all users will be able to run it straight from the lockscreen.
SamMobile didn’t say when it will be the official release date and they left us waiting only to predict it. If you take that this testing period could take a week or two, we could expect it at the start of February. This has been received as great news from everybody who have been desperate to see the new Android KitKat 4.4 OS version on their handset before the Galaxy S5 is released.
