Microsoft has announced a contract-free AT&T Nokia Lumia 520 or T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 521 for users who buy a one-year Xbox Music Pass. This offer will be available in the U.S. from the 3rd of February until the 17th of February and is limited to one purchase per user.
All you need to do is purchase the 12-month Xbox Music Pass and get a contract-free Lumia 520 or 521 at no extra cost from Microsoft’s online or retail stores.
This deal sounds exciting if we consider that a yearly Xbox Music Pass would cost you $99 and a Lumia 520 or 521 would cost $120 off-contract. Paying less than $100 for the combination does sound like a solid offer. Also do not forget that although Nokia Lumia 520 and 521 may not be the fastest selling devices, at that price point they that are currently the best selling Windows devices around the world.
If you are planning to grab the offer, here is a quick look at the Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 520’s specs:
- A 4″ IPS LCD display
- 1 GHz dual-core Krait Snapdragon processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 5 mega pixel rear camera
- 8GB internal storage- Expandable using an SD card up to 64GB
- 3G radios for AT&T or T-Mobile depending on the variant.
Xbox Music was launched by Microsoft in October 2012 and offers ad-supported streaming, subscription streaming and song purchases through the Xbox Music Store. Xbox Music can be accessed via Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows Phone 8, Android, iOS, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.
Microsoft seems to be prodding the users who have been pondering over buying a Windows device or Xbox Music by offering this combo deal.
If you are a music freak and are looking for a good handset this deal might just be for you. To make it more appealing Microsoft has also included a collection of headsets from Skullcandy at a discounted price which can be added to the same order.
