As the CEO of Blackberry, Thorsten Haines said back in January that the new Blackberry Z10 will be available for American users somewhere in the middle of March that came true today as T-Mobile reported that they are launching this product only for business users. It’s not official yet, but when the people in T-Mobile were asked about releasing this smartphone for regular users, the answer was that they are expecting to start selling this phone somewhere at the end of this month.
The product will be sold to business customers for $249.99.
The business buyers can get this device delivered by the end of the next week if it’s ordered now. The US citizens waited much longer than any of the other users in other countries. This happened because the carriers wanted longer period for testing the sales and the product itself. At present Z10 is already sold in 20+ countries. T-Mobile seem to be the first big carrier of the smartphone in the US, because other bigger rivals like AT&T or Verizon refused to talk about a release date.
If you didn’t know by now, the Blackberry Z10 has 4.2-inch LCD display. Two cameras: Rear with 8mpix plus LED flesh and front with 2mpix. The dimensions are 130 (height), 65.6 (width) and it weighs only 137.5 grams. It runs on BlackBerry 10 OS with Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset. Equipped with Dual-core 1.5 CPU and 2 GB RAM. Has 16 GB flash memory with possibility for external adding up to 32 GB with microSD memory card. The battery life is ok, 1800mAH removable battery with 10 hours of talk time and 13 days on standby mode.
The move to regain its place on the market and make this year more profitable then the last, with the release of a smartphone-competitor to iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, makes the company more compatible with already leading manufacturers Samsung and Apple. Will they be successful in these intents? – We will wait until the first sales numbers come out so we can compare it with the other leading gadgets.
