HTC One Delayed – Shipments to Start in April

Well, this is odd. HTC was ready and set for the arrival of the new device HTC One on March 15 but suddenly they changed their minds and now that date is delayed to sometime in April. The official date is unknown as well as the reasons why did this happen.

This is the worst thing that can happen especially at the time when the direct and biggest rival on the smartphone market is scheduled to launch its new product just a day before the day that your shipments should have started. This setback it’s not affordable, especially now. As soon as this information came out, rumors about this handset started circulating the web. It’s assumed that the delay was a result from the complicated manufacturing process especially of the frame around the phone. Some time ago, the company reported that it takes approximately 200 minutes to process the parts of each device. Or maybe they felt like they will be underrated or maybe they felt that their effort will not be recognized because everyone will be focused on the new Samsung Galaxy S4.

They only released official statement is that they will start taking pre-orders by the end of this month (March 29th) and more global shipments including more countries will be included at some point in April.

We can say that this smartphone is the breakthrough point for the company. It will either  make the firm better or it will break it into pieces. Either way, this phone features 4.7-inch full HD display, 2 GB of system memory upgradable to 32 or 64 GB with flash storage. This smartphone is equipped with impressive 1.7 GHz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor. It has 4.0 Bluetooth and ‘forgotten’ infrared technology. This device is equipped with “Beats by Dr.Dre” audio feature and two speakers above and beyond the display. HTC One will be shipping with Android OS version 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The smartphone is well praised, has great build quality and it’s equipped with really good features. However, this kind of step that HTC took with delaying is not good and will not help them at all. HTC is a company that deserves respect and maybe they have really good reason for this step and maybe when they are ready they will bring the reason out in the public.
