Samsung’s future goes off the chart and we can say that they are moving their boundaries even further. A report says that Samsung is planning to make two more Galaxy smartphones which will feature bigger screens. The first one will have a 5.8-inch screen and the second will be offered with a 6.3-inch screen. I know what are you thinking right now, but rest assured, they are not scheduled to hit the market any time soon.
These two devices which were showed recently by Samsung Mobile Press, both have the Mega nickname. We mentioned earlier that they will feature the 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch screen option. And of course, both of them will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will have a dual-core processor. The device with the 6.3-inch screen will be powered by 1.7GHz processor while the other will feature a 1.4 GHz chip. When it comes to the camera, both of them will have the same 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapix front-facing camera.
As for the internal storage capacity, the ‘stronger’ device will include 8GB or 16GB with additional capacity up to 64GB with microSD slot. The ‘weaker’ device will be offered with 8GB of internal storage. This is not the only rumor about the new devices from Samsung. Earlier this week another report mentioned that they are preparing two new handsets with larger display sizes. As always, the company has declined to say anything about this.
As you can see, although Samsung is boosting their internal software features and the tinier design of the device, the real change is in the screen. Someone will say it’s too big and the ones who are using Galaxy Note with no additional consideration will purchase them. Just to compare, the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 includes 5-inch display and the latest device of their biggest competition the iPhone 5 includes 4-inch display.
Before you all become judgmental and excited about this, be aware that Samsung has made it clear they will launch their new products in Europe and Russia. The availability will vary in different markets and they will launch it everywhere over time. However they didn’t say if these devices will be as big as rumored.
Okay, with every new device they have gone bigger and bigger, I wonder when they will stop with all this. To make it clear, I’m not really a fan over big screen smartphones but I have found the recent Galaxy devices interesting and somehow I have avoided the fact that they they were little bit too big. If this rumor becomes true, the real question would be – are they finished with making larger screened devices or they will not stop until they made TV-sized handset device? Just joking, stay tuned for more info.
