When I hear the name of this company I’m always smiling because I have great image in my head for them and I personally consider them like one of the best companies out there. With their HTC One X device they truly surprised me in a good way and I have said to myself I must own it. I wasn’t fully amazed with their HTC First device which is fully integrated with Facebook just because I didn’t feel some need for having that kind of a phone. But it’s a great opportunity for those who need greater and faster Facebook integration for their personal business or some kind of marketing ads.
The first device HTC One X has been around quite some time but HTC first is yet to make an entry. We are bringing them head to head to found out what kind of differences they have and fully compared the specs of them.
The display is the first thing of the design that catches your eyes. The One X is equipped with HD 4.7-inch LCD 2 super display and it has a great screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The pixel density is amazing, it has 312 ppi. The other device, HTC First, has a bit smaller display with 4.3-inches Super LCD with significantly smaller display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 342 ppi. Don’t be fooled by the pixel density, its bigger because the screen is smaller.
The One X model features 1.5 GHz quad-core processor chip for its global version which is launched only in USA. In some other selected countries this handset device has a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The processor is powered by 1 GB of RAM in the both of them and it’s equipped with GeForce graphic card. The compared device HTC First is equipped with Snapdragon Qualcomm processor chip which is powered by 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and Adreno GPU. It features 1 GB of RAM.
Normally both of them are running on Android OS. The first one has a default version of Android 4.0 on it and HTC First has installed Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Like we said earlier, the second device is fully Facebook oriented and gives you the ultimate Facebook experience.
HTC’s One X comes with a built-in 32 GB storage capacity and doesn’t include MicroSD slot support for additional memory. HTC First has built-in 16 GB storage capacity and same as the One X it doesn’t include additional MicroSD card slot.
We must give the advantage to the HTC One X here because it includes an 8-mpix primary camera with LED flash, BSI sensor for improving performance in conditions with low light and auto focus. It has a secondary camera with 1.3-mpix. The newer device has a primary camera of 5-mpix which features LED flash and it has 1.6-mpix secondary camera which features touch focus, geo tagging and face detection.
HTC’s One X is equipped with 1800 mAh battery which is rechargeable and it gives you stand by time of around 320 hours and 10 hours talk time. The second device is equipped with better Li-lon battery with 2000 mAh which have passed all the laptop tests with lasting 6 hours and 16 minutes. This is fair enough.
Dimensions and Weight
The dimensions and weight of the HTC One X device are:
- Height – 134.3 mm
- Width – 69.9 mm
- Depth – 8.9 mm
- Weight – 130 grams
The dimensions and weight of the HTC First device are:
- Height – 126 mm
- Width – 65 mm
- Depth – 8.9 mm
- Weight – 124 grams.
HTC First had great run at the end but it can’t be matched with the specifications of the HTC One X. There are few features where HTC First has a slight advantage but overall the One X device comes as a winner. You can run through the specs again and notice the differences because it’s unnecessary to put them here again. Maybe you will say that the biggest advantage is the pre-installed Facebook Home on the HTC First but you can easily download the app on the One X device. So it’s not that big of a deal.
