Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is on its way people! I thought they were joking with this statement that Samsung will release two more devices larger than… well, larger than ever. When this rumor started to flow, we only knew that they will be called Mega and the first one will have 6.3-inch screen and the second will feature 5.8-inch screen. No, Samsung will not declare this devices as tablets, they will be all smartphone featured.
Now, from several sources we have some fresh information about the Galaxy Mega 6.3. It will be globally available for certain mobile markets or Europe and Russia to be exact. The device will be launched somewhere in May and very soon will be released in other markets around the world. Samsung didn’t give any thoughts about the price or the specifications. They have said that this new handset device will be available as of May and it will be launched firstly in Europe and Russia. The page of this product already has some indications for the price and it’s made available for pre-orders for €899.
We have this price from retailers but we don’t have any other information that’s available out there for this device. There is nothing from Samsung about the exact date when this device goes out for sale. We are sure that it will be out soon enough and it will come right after the launch in Europe.
We have gathered some information about the specs which is currently the biggest concern for this device. This Galaxy Mega 6.3 from Samsung will include 6.3-inch display with full HD 720p resolution. It will run on 4.2 Jelly Bean Android OS. It will include dual-core 1.7 GHz processor chip which will be powered with T604 Mali GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. Don’t worry it will have an 8MP rear camera and front-facing camera with 1.9MP. The battery will be solid Li-lon and with 3200 mAh capacity.
According to this information, we can say that this will be great indicators for the next generation of phone and tablets mix or modernly said phablets. And maybe with this Samsung wants to exclude the Galaxy Note series out of production, who knows. However, I’m not a big fan of phones that are this big and maybe I’m a little bit skeptic about these new Samsung devices. We will wait until May to see what this phablet is capable of and how it will be accepted by the public.
