Archos Released Its First Batch of Android Powered Phones

Archos, the French company which produces electronic devices just paved its way into the mobile market. Recently, it launched three brand new smartphone models that will fit the budget of an average consumer. It seems like the company took a few years observing and studying everything it needs to be able to produce Android supported phones. However, the company was able to release tablet computers in the past years.

The company has partnered with Google and it now has three newly released smartphones running the Android operating system. Those are the Archos 35 Carbon and the more expensive ones – the Archos 50 Platinum and Archos 53 Platinum. These phones have different specifications and are available with different price tags.

Archos 35 Carbon

Archos 35 Carbon is the company’s Android phone with the lowest price which is individually sold at $99 without any contract. It sports a 3.5 inch screen display which is just enough to use in browsing the web, check emails and view photos and videos. It has a matte black casing and is as thin as 10.2 mm. It supports 3G and Wi-Fi connections. Though it only has an internal storage of 4 GB but is still expandable through a MicroSD card. It runs ICS Android operating system and is dual SIM.

It’s available in the market for only $99.99.

Archos 50 Platinum


This phone runs Android Jelly Bean and has a quad core processor running it. It still supports 3G and Wi-Fi connections. It has an 8MP camera and is still dual SIM. It has a 5 inch screen with an elegant design and should be having a high performance knowing that it’s powered by Jelly Bean. It still has 1 GB of RAM and an internal memory storage of 4 GB which is just about enough to make it perform its tasks. It has a price tag of $219.99.

Archos 53 Platinum

This is the phone with the biggest screen; it sports a 5.3 inch screen which is useful in checking emails and browsing the internet. It still runs Jelly Bean and has a quad core processor.  It has 1 GB RAM which doesn’t make any difference from the other Archos phones. It’s so slim and is only 9.2 mm thin, sleek enough to be slipped into the pocket. It has an 8 MP camera and is available for $249.99.

The phones have built-in Android applications and run it smoothly without any delay. It gives the user the chance to store contacts in the cloud using Gmail through an internet connection. The user will also enjoy using the Archos Media Centre and a dual camera.

These phones are getting high expectations from everyone in the market. It’s going to be released in stores in Europe later this month. It will only be available in Europe initially but, no confirmation has been made whether these phones will be available in the United States. But, it should be hitting the worldwide market soon for everyone to experience Archos at its best.
