Asus continues its great work when it comes to producing tablets. Just few days ago, we saw several Android based tablets from this company and all of them are looking great, well, at least at first sight. We saw Memo Pad HD 7, Memo Pad FHD 10, Transformer Pad Infinity and Asus Fonepad Note FHD 6. We are going to stick with Asus Memo Pad FHD 10, which represents the bigger brother of Memo Pad HD 7.
At first glance, you will notice the beautiful 10-inch HD display that has 1,920 x 1,200 resolution and 226 ppi. Its measurements are 10.42 x 7.18 x 0.37 and it weighs 580g. You can see the main camera on it, which is equipped with 5-mpix and another front-facing camera with 1.2-mpix. It can shoot videos in 1080p, which is very cool. The thing that I didn’t like is that the camera lacks flash and autofocus. It provides some poor photos while shooting at low-light environments. As it seems, the design follows the slim trend and Asus has also made it available in pink, white and blue color options.
Under the hood, you can find Intel Atom dual-core processor with clock speed of 1.6MHz. This processor is helped by 2GB of RAM and it comes in 16GB and 32GB versions. This doesn’t necessarily has to be a disappointment because it has a MicroSD slot that enables you to upgrade it up to 32GB. It’s announced that somewhere in Q3 there will be another LTE version of this tablet that will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor. That will be the only change that is expected to be made, for now.
From what I can see, I can say this tablet version looks like an upgrade of the Asus Memo Pad Smart 10. It fixes all the weak spots that Pad Smart 10 had. Both the design and performance are much better and the display features higher pixel resolution. This gives all the potential buyers one more proof why they need to order this tablet. For some of these tablets, like for the Memo Pad HD 7, the price was announced but for this tablet that is not the case. While we are still waiting for Asus to decide what will be the price of it, I’m thinking that there will be another device that will be included into the affordable devices line.
This tablet runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and the maximum battery rate is 10 hours. Its 10-inch screen makes it look even better but of course the price will play the biggest role into your decision for buying it or not. Still, I’m giving it my highest marks.
