We heard a lot of rumors saying that the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will take the stand and be revealed at the WWDC event but only MacBook Air made its debut. I’m going to give you all the information you need to know for know and a full review will follow when this device hits the market. There are two versions revealed: 11-inch and 13-inch version. This review refers to the one with an 11-inch screen.

At first sight, there are no changes made on this new model, in comparison to its predecessor. It’s identical when it comes to the design, including the 11.6-inch display with the same 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution, same number of ports and the perfect aluminum body. Introducing a change of designs each year isn’t something that Apple is known for. To be honest, this formula really works because this MacBook Air still sits on the top of the list for best-looking laptops.

Hardware and Performance

This laptop is equipped with the new improved Haswell processor that was recently launched by Intel. This dual-core i5 processor offers many improvements of its predecessor but the SSD and graphics are the main factors for the quality of this MacBook Air. According to Apple, this SSD will offer notable improvements in the speed when compared with the previous models.

This is not the only thing that has been improved. The battery life is extended to 12 hours and that’s an improvement more when compared to the last model, which was able to stay “awake” only for 7 hours. It’s offered with dual-core i5 and i7 processors, giving you 9-hour and 12-hour battery life, respectively.

Graphic card has received enhancements, as well, going up to Intel HD 5000 which performed well on most tests. If you want to use it for gaming or doing some video or photo work, this MacBook Air will bring you the experience you never had before.

New 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard is also supported by this Apple MacBook Air and when connected with router that supports this, you will have a great match. This is the future Wi-Fi standard which is expected to be included in all PCs that are scheduled to be released this year.

These are the most notable updates that were made to this year’s MacBook Air. This is all we have so far, but we promise you that in near future we will give you full report of this new laptop.
