T-Mobile, again, has something new to announce on July 10. This company has sent new invitations for a media event which will be held in New York City. On the invitation, you can see only the “T” logo with another sentence: “Our boldest moves yet”. There are no rumors, not even a slightest clue of what will be happening there because T-Mobile is keeping all the doors sealed and nothing is coming out from them. This event will start at 11:30 a.m. PT and right after that we will bring you report of what happened there.
On other events of this kind, we saw couple of bold moves by this carrier. First, on March 24, we saw T-Mobile offering some brand new service plans. From this date, you were able to choose from different data packages. For a $50, $60 or $70 monthly fee, T-Mobile is offering 500MB data with high speed, 2GB high speed data or unlimited data with high speed. In addition, there is unlimited amount of messages or voice service. The biggest change back then was removing the wireless contract for using their services.
Few days later, T-Mobile finally announced its support for 4G LTE network. It’s expected this fast network to reach 200 million Americans by the end of this year. This move made T-Mobile the last of 4 major U.S carriers to launch this fast 4G LTE network. It was announced that couple of newly launched devices will be included along with this network.
One of these devices was the iPhone 5. At the “Uncarrier” event in NYC, this carrier has announced that it will start selling the iPhone 5 for $100 and it will offer it without a contract, too. Once again, T-Mobile was the last of 4 major carriers to get the iPhone 5 and it was released with a support for its 4G LTE network.
As you can see, a lot of great things have happened at these events. The expectations now involve a new handset or maybe handsets. It was confirmed by T-Mobile that we will see the Sony Ericsson Xperia Z very soon and it will be available for sales right away. Maybe this handset will be the major star at this event. This device has debuted at CES and amazed with its waterproof design equipped with a 5-inch display. It includes a 13-mpix camera and great battery life. It was said that it will run on T-Mobile’s 4G LTE networks. However, we expect more of this to be part of T-Mobile’s boldest move.
We will keep you posted if some new information will show up. Until then, share with us in comments below what are your expectations from this carrier?
