HTC One is already offered by some big carriers but Verizon still doesn’t include this handset in their product line. Few weeks ago, Verizon has confirmed that we are going to see this device as early as summer. Several reports showing price expectations and official launch dates has been circling around the web. We have a different situation right now because a leaked image has showed up on @evleaks official Twitter account.
@evleaks has been a reliable source in the past and from the leaked image, we can notice the calendar showing September 5. If this rumor happens to be true, Verizon customers will wait a little bit more than a month to purchase their HTC One smartphone. AT&T, Sprint and even T-Mobile already offer this device and it’s about time Verizon to bring the device into its network. There are no details about the price or even what color choices will be offered.
There is a big possibility that this picture shows random date but with Verizon reporting earlier that we will see this smartphone this summer, it’s clear that HTC One will arrive very soon. If you planed to switch carriers in order to get your HTC One fresh version, wait little bit longer. It seems Verizon will be shipping this smartphone with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
HTC One has been revealed in February and it was released in March. It has a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 screen with 1080×1920 pixel resolution that equals 469ppi. It’s powered with 1.7 quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor produced by Qualcomm. It has 2GB of RAM and internal storage memory of 32/64GB. Maybe the camera comes as a disappointment because it has only 4 megapixels. The front facing camera features 2.1-mpix.
Before we raise our hopes, we have to keep in mind how long we have been waiting for this smartphone to become available at Verizon. September 5 doesn’t sounds like a great idea for Verizon and HTC because that month will be reserved for Apple’s iPhone 5S. They might want to consider making it available as early as possible. We are going to wait for this date but we must expect it to be launched earlier.
Do you think Verizon will make this step by announcing HTC One in September or you are expecting it earlier?
