There are rumors going around in the gaming world about the expected unveiling of Sony’s Playstation 4 (PS4) which allows gamers to control it through their phones. It has been more than 5 years now since the launching of the company’s PS3 and faced a significantly changed landscape with a lot of competitors in the market like Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox. Unlike before, the gamers don not have to go to the game shops to check if there are new titles available because now, web streaming, tablet games, Smartphone games and PC gaming have all exhausted the fame of the respected living room comfort. Right now, according to experts, flashier specifications and faster processors won’t be enough anymore for the generations to come.

Looking closely at where the gaming market is headed to, it’s obvious that Sony has already realized the death of the traditional console business. Sure, there will always be a room for disc-based and big-budget games that can be bought from retail stores but free to play, social and mobile games are very huge and the PS4 should be able to accommodate these sectors. Still being one of the top choices of gamers all around the world, Sony, as experts put it, has a lot of work to do if it wants to get back to the top of the gaming heap.

This year, Sony is rumored to launch its latest PS4 in the market because of its slashing of prices starting in Japan. While there is no confirmation about this just yet, gamers continuously hear about more information about this latest from Sony. If you can still remember, in January of this year, there were talks about the PS4’s new controller which they say has a tiny touch-pad in the middle and a fancy new user account system that will enable multiple individuals to log in into a single console, all at the same time.

Just to add a little more information about this rumored product, reliable sources have said that the PS4 will come out and be introduced in the market together with a Playstation Eye and it has a feature which will allow the owner to watch his friends while playing games on their devices from a console’s dashboard. Up until now, reliable sources are still trying to reach out to Sony for a confirmation or comment about this rumor but so far there’s no response just yet. The company is expected to make an announcement of their new console a New York City event tomorrow night, February 20th, 2013.
