AT&T to be the First Carrier that Offers HTC One Mini

HTC did a great job with its “One” smartphone that was release few months ago. We haven’t seen a device that is more compatible with the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 than this HTC One. The demand for it was increasing day by day and people who couldn’t afford it voiced some discontent. HTC hasn’t released its HTC One Mini yet but many leaked pictures, rumors and speculations are saying that this device can be seen on the horizon.

Many press renders have already announced this new smartphone with complete features and specs review. This new report shows that the official carrier for this new smartphone will be AT&T. There isn’t a carrier from the U.S that officially unveiled any plans for carrying this smartphone. If we keep on mind that the larger HTC One is available at the four major carriers in the U.S, we could expect this version to be supported by them also. We only need to wait the official statement from any carrier that is likely to release the device in near future.

From what we could see by now, the HTC One Mini will weigh only 21 grams and we can expect to be built from the same material as its bigger brother. It will measure 5.2 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 0.36 inches thick. Ordinarily, this smartphone will come with a smaller screen and it will be perfect for those who seek smaller HTC One device. It will be powered by 1.4 GHz dual-core processor chip along with 1GB of RAM. The whole idea was to look the same and from what we could see from the rendered images, HTC succeed into making it just like that. There is no indication if this handset will be meant for the budget market but we expect it to be cheaper. However, several rumors said that this device will not be as cheap as we expect due its built material.

If everything is right on scheduled, this device is expected to land on the global market by August. There is no official date or price yet but I assume that we won’t wait so long to hear these details, as well. I truly love what HTC did with its “One” smartphone and I believe that this Mini version will be as good as it looks like. Samsung already released its Galaxy S4 Mini smartphone and it seems that very soon, we will see its direct competitor.

Share your expectations about this device. Will it manage to be among top mini smartphone versions?
