Samsung continues to dominate Apple in every domain of their battle. This report shows a satisfaction poll which was conducted among iPhone and Samsung users from the American Customer Satisfaction index. Two of Samsung’s models are ahead of Apple’s three iPhone models with higher grades. We could say we were aware that there are many users satisfied by their Samsung devices, but Apple’s iPhones worked perfectly for their owners, as well.
Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2 both achieved 84 of 100 grades in this study which was released Wednesday by the ACS index. The Galaxy S4, which was released few months ago, wasn’t included because this survey was taken right before its official debut. The iPhone 5 by Apple has been placed third, taking home 82 of 100. Fourth and fifth were iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, respectively.
Apple still did well with a 81 grade as a collective score, though this company noted a slight drop from last year when the grade was 83. Samsung’s overall score was 76 which is up from 71 in 2012. According to David VanAmburg, ACS Index director, it’s not only that Samsung came ahead of all iPhones but Apple customers don’t see any big difference between these three devices. He added that on the latest earnings report Apple camebetter than expected and the biggest game for Apple was alwaysgiving to their users innovation. On the other side, Samsungimproved its game from its Galaxy S2 to the Galaxy S3 and if the S4 smartphone performs nearly like this ones, Samsung can easily take the overall score and dominate the customer satisfaction index.
Samsung Galaxy S2 came as 7th on this list with 78 of possible 100. Motorola received 2 places on this list while BlackBerry showed up twice with its Bold and Curve devices. Smartphone users were more satisfied with their devices than those who are using feature phones. Smartphones took home an overall score of 76, while the compared feature phones noted 69. Claes Fornell, ACS Index Chairmen, said that smartphones have the best quality which attracts while the feature phones are cheaper. The smartphones have better features and they are able to receive high marks on the strong market. Battery life, ease of use, design comes as an addition to really good packed device.
This study has measured satisfaction levels for the 10 best-selling smartphone devices in the United States for 2012. In order to complete this survey, ACS Index used 3 factors to measure this customer satisfaction level. The factors are areloyalty, money value and product quality. The total number of smartphone customers who’ve been surveyed came close to 4,000. The poll has been taken during January 21 – March 17 period of this year.
Of course, this doesn’t prove anything because everyone is satisfied of its smartphone in their own personal way. Apple is about to include huge change with its redesigned iOS 7 and this company still has to make move releasing its feature iPhone this fall.
