Amazon Expected to Unveil a New 7-inch Kindle Fire HD, Probably Better than the New Nexus 7

Google has launched its latest Nexus 7 device and it looks really great but we are about to show you why you need to think twice before purchasing it. Amazon is about to unveil a new 7-inch tablet that will update its Kindle Fire HD line. These Android-based tablets proved to be iPad killers in the past period and recently, we saw how Android beats iOS in tablet shipments. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that Google didn’t do a great job with its new Nexus 7 tablet but you should wait a little bit more before bringing a decision for purchasing a 7-inch tablet.

Maybe the Nexus 7 seems like the best 7-inch tablet at the moment but Amazon is on the verge of releasing a new Kindle Fire HD tablet model in a month or two. Recently, we saw a report from The Boy Genius, claiming that it knows the specs and features for the new Kindle Fire HD. If this source proves to be right, we can expect this new device to be directly compatible with the Nexus 7. According to this source, the Kindle Fire HD will feature a 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution and it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. It’s expected to include 2GB of RAM and will come as 16GB, 32GB and 64GB model. This source also claims that new redesigned Kindle Fire HD 8.9 will be launched by the end of this year.

Both Kindle Fire HD devices are running on customized Android OS and personal Android App Store. When Amazon released its previous Kindle Fire HD model, it was obvious that the new device will lose some of its frame. According to the previously mentioned source, the frame around the screen is half an inch around. While the Nexus 7 enjoys being the only 7-inch tablet with stand-out design, it might lose this place when the new Kindle Fire HD arrives.

There is a possibility that we will see two devices with a similar design. If Amazon comes up with a device that could measure up with the Nexus 7 device, you should look at this before deciding to go for the Nexus 7.

Price: The Nexus 7 with 16GB is selling for $229, while the current Kindle Fire HD with 16GB can be bought for $199. Probably Amazon will have the same price tag undercutting the Nexus 7. You will save $30 for a device that has same or even better design and specs than the exciting Nexus 7.

Better and Smaller design or better performance: We know Amazon always says that they do something better than its competition. We can expect this company to do the same thing praising its device over the Nexus 7 and showing up its advantages.

Kindle Landing Library and FreeTime Unlimited: All the Kindle Fire tablet owners can read certain books for a month free period. This feature is not available on a hardware that is not from Amazon.

FreeTIme Unlimited is a subscription service that enables you to access free content for kids. This includes applications, TV Shows, Movies, games, e-books and etc. It costs $2.99 per month for Prime Members and for those who are not Prime Members the subscription costs $4.99.

Amazon will offer few other reasons why you need to pick its new Kindle Fire HD over Nexus 7. We only need to wait a bit more, at least to the Holiday Month, before bringing a decision for purchasing a 7-inch tablet. Of course, Apple is said that will release its new iPad Mini version and we should consider what they have to offer, also. Outside Apple’s iPad Mini, the Kindle Fire HD will be the biggest competitor and Nexus 7 killer.

Share with us your expectations of this company and its Kindle Fire HD in the upcoming period of time.

Its going to be worse than Nexus 7. Even if the specs are higher. The kindle is an android tablet missing the best android features and apps.
