HP Envy Rove 20: Is It a Huge Tablet or a Portable Desktop?

Have you ever wished that you can just unplug your desktop in the office and bring it home with you without any sweat? Or have you ever thought your tablet is as big as your desktop screen at home? These wishes are granted by one of the top-selling brands that manufactures computers and laptops. HP has released its own version of a tabletop computer and that is the HP Envy Rove 20.

The HP Envy Rove 20 has a huge screen of 20 inches and its central processing unit is in-built at the back of the device. The main reason is to increase the portability of the device and achieve its goal to allow the consumers to bring their tabletop computers anywhere they want. You can either let it lay flat on your lap or make it stand at an angle that a desktop screen usually stands. It has an aluminum stand at the back that will pop as soon as you want to use it.

The internal specifications of the Envy Rove 20 are not as strong as real desktop computers usually have. You may even think that it’s more of a laptop or a notebook because of its hardware features. It is powered by a dual-core processor that is manufactured by Intel with a RAM value of 4GB of its DDR3. However, you can freely extend the RAM of the device because of the two available slots for future expansion of its memory.

HP has not maximized the screen resolution value of this tabletop. Instead of having a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution, the company opted to decrease it a bit and gave it a 1600 x 900 pixel screen resolution. The display may not be as impressive as you think. But it will still be able to handle good display for movies and videos though there are times that some of the pixels may be very obvious depending on the type of video being played.

This new Envy Rove 20 runs Microsoft Windows 8 and the system’s touchscreen feature is very useful in this tabletop computer. Aside from that, the audio technology used in this computer is the one formulated by Beats Audio Technology. So you will surely enjoy taking advantage of the audio effects and outputs it can offer you.

Overall, the HP Envy Rove 20 is a total package and we would still opt for a portable desktop that is manufactured by a very trustworthy brand like this one from HP.
