When every major U.S. carrier has been making deals with BlackBerry for carrying the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, Sprint was probably making other plans because it avoided this opportunity. Maybe this turned out to be a smart move because the success of this device on the market hasn’t met the users’ expectations. Sprint wants to make up for this situation, announcing that BlackBerry Q10 will be available through its network. This QWERTY device will go on sale officially on August 30 and it will cost you $199 with 2-year contract attached to it.
Sprint might be late with this release because BB Q10 is already available at AT&T for two months now for the same price. We were predicting that this price will be reduced by now but AT&T’s site says otherwise. This company has reduced the price of BlackBerry’s Z10 smartphone to $100 and it’s only a matter of time when we will see the Q10’s price reduced. Maybe this will happen few days from now because the arrival of this phone to Sprint will force AT&T to cut the price.
However, Sprint and AT&T are not the carriers with the best offer for this phone. T-Mobile tops them offering it for $0 up front while adding $25 a month to your plan for this phone. It’s really tough for other carriers to beat this plan because people have a better option instead bonding to a 2-year contract.
What will you get if you decide to buy the BlackBerry Q10 phone? – The biggest advantage of this phone is the QWERTY keyboard which is rarely seen among smartphones these days. Above the keyboard, there is a 3.1-inch display with touch-screen feature that offers 720 x 720p resolution. This phone comes with an 8-mpix rear camera. Under the hood, there is a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage capacity.
Maybe Sprint was late bringing this BlackBerry smartphone but they won’t pass the chance to avoid carrying the next touchscreen device coming from this company. This carrier already signed up for the next device that will come out as BlackBerry A10, Z30 or Aristo. If this rumored device happens to be true, we could see this phone revealed in late September and Sprint selling it in early November. Until then, you need to get ready for BlackBerry Q10’s arrival to Sprint on August 30.
