HTC has recently rolled out minor software updates for the HTC One and HTC One Mini smartphones. Both these updates bring minor fixes and improvements to the system and are available for download over the air (OTA).
The over the air update for the HTC One is 32MB in size and brings your software version to 2.24.401.8. The update brings useful features to the device that includes Google Keyboard and support for the Mini+ accessory. There doesn’t seem to be anything else that has been added or changed, so if you do not really need these two fixes, then you can probably skip the update.

HTC One Mini

  • Accessory: Support for Mini+
  • Google keyboard now available

HTC One Mini 2

The HTC One Mini on the other hand gets some major fixes; hence we suggest that you get this update. The total file size is 23.32MB and it will update your software version to 1.31.401.1. The update is available for download over the air, and here is the list of fixes that have been made.

  • Car Mode: Stability improvements
  • Google Play movies playback issue
  • Google keyboard now available
  • Camera: Stability improvements

If you have not got the update notification yet, you can manually check for the same. In order to do so, head to Settings -> About Phone and Software Update. We suggest that all HTC One and HTC One Mini consumers should get the update even if it is seems to be not so important. The update roll out will be gradual, so if you are still not getting the notification, be patient and check back later.
