Motorola Moto X sales up in thousands, 100,000 units selling per week – Report

Motorola latest creation, the Moto X has started making a name for itself in the market. Latest reports indicate that the Motorola Moto X is selling thousands on units every week in the country. To be more specific, there are about 100,000 (one hundred thousand) Moto X smartphones being sold on a weekly basis.
We have some interesting news for consumers who have already got their hands on the Motorola Moto X as well as consumers who are planning to do so. The good news is that the Motorola Moto X seems to be quite a hit as reports indicate that the company is selling thousands of units every week. The numbers come from Reuters, not from Motorola itself.
Reuters said that the 100,000 units of the Moto X are being sold on a weekly basis. Now if you start comparing these numbers with the sales of the Apple iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Moto X will definitely be a failure. To get the numbers in place, Apple sold about 5 million units of the iPhone 5 in the first three days whereas Samsung sold about 6 million Galaxy S4 units in two weeks.
But there are a lot of differences when it comes to Moto X. First and most importantly, the Moto X is only available in the United States; hence the potential number of consumers greatly reduces. Next, the Moto X is customizable, hence shipping out finished products and even designing them (from the consumer end) takes time.

Moto X Accents
Even though Motorola is now a part of Google and even though Google is the company behind Android, nothing beats market exposure. Apple and Samsung have been targeting almost every potential international market and ensuring that their smart devices are made available to consumers who want them. As a result of this availability, a number of consumers spend way more money on these products (even more than those spent by US based consumers).
The Motorola Moto X is the first smartphone to offer heavy customization options to consumers. Even though the customization has not reached the hardware level, the efforts put in by Motorola are definitely worth the praise. If you are interested in the Moto X, take a look at its specs and features, and at the end also check out the list of items that you can customize.
