Last year, Apple sold at least five million iPhones to its loyal customers. Now, at the release of the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, individuals around the world are watching whether the said company will be able to top that number of sales. It is already clear that crowd records are peaking at the opening weekend of the new gadget but whether the sales will be able to do the same is a whole different question.
When Apple unveiled the new upgrade of their mobile phones, there are critics who expected that the release would not be as popular as last year. Obviously, the critics were wrong. Customers who were waiting for the release of the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C seem excited enough to form long and large lines in front of Apple stores. This included eager buyers who even camped out just to have the chance to be the first ones to get the said gadgets. According to tallies made by experts, New York and San Francisco were two of the cities which topped last year’s sales of the previous iPhone units.
Nevertheless, it still remains whether this crowd record will also mean peaking sales of both the new Apple mobile phones. Of course, the first weekend is a crucial period of time in determining this factor but it wouldn’t be until the coming Monday that the Apple company will be able to know the answer to that question. At the said date, Apple is going to publicize the entire sales numbers that will include pre-orders and total devices sold from the release date. The sales tally will comprise the two products iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
On the other hand, some people on Wall Street took a guess that Apple’s sales will be larger than last year. The previous five million is expected to rise up until six million – the sales number to beat. If these critics were right, Apple should consider it a positive thing for their company because that generally means that their new gadgets sold with a 20 percent growth.
The weekend sales are expected to hold at least 3 million sales for both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, respectively. If Apple had enough supplies, they could even reach 7 million of sales numbers. As of now, however, customers will just have to wait for the numbers to come in and tell whether the new Apple handsets are not just popular with the crowd but also with sales.
