Another all-in-one computer has been released in the market just recently and this is the new Lenovo C540 Touch (Model 57317016). It has a multi-touch play and great keyboard hardware although it may not be as slim and sleek as customers expected. But still, they are taking another look and thinking twice because the new device is only selling at $719 in stores.

First of all, the multi-touch display of this new C540 performs with undeniable quality. It measures 23 inches diagonally which is similar to Acer, Toshiba and HP. Furthermore, the Lenovo computer is also sporting an Intel Core i3-3240 central processing unit which comes with an 8GB of DDR3/1600 memory. It has a hard drive of a spacious 1TB/ 7200rpm and compared to other machines. The catch about all-in-one devices is that it is generally hard to upgrade. However, having a large memory to begin with is a helpful benefit.

Compared to products with similar nature such as the Acer Aspire A5600U-UB13 or Toshiba PX35t-A2210, it seems that Lenovo scored the one with a faster CPU. This added better performance when the computer is editing media. Unfortunately, its Intel HD Graphics 2500 may not be the best processor to put on the job since it left the computer running on slower marks. It only produced 16.1 frames/second with BioShock Infinite even with a screen resolution of just 1024 by 768 pixels and image quality of Low.

In terms of audio technology, the Lenovo C540 Touch only has down-firing speakers but the good thing is that it still produces a high quality sound. It also comes with four USB 2.0 ports but only two USB 3.0 ports on the entire computer. There are also microphone and earphone jacks, Ethernet connectivity and HDMI port at the rear. The mouse which is an add-in have two basic buttons while the keyboard exhibits excellent tactile features for typists.

The Lenovo C540 Touch may not look as pretty as its competitors especially the Toshiba all-in-one computer but it definitely has a better and more powerful central processing unit. Although the integrated graphics made the computer suffer a little bit, the additional memory helped the device do easy tasks such as encoding audio, video and editing images. Considering, it is a great choice for individuals who want to try Lenovo’s products. Also, it has a reasonable price of only $719.
