We have interesting news for Samsung Galaxy S4 consumers who have been waiting to get their hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. A Samsung official has confirmed that the Galaxy S4 will provide support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch by the month of October.
Just because Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3, it doesn’t mean that the Galaxy S4 becomes a secondary device for the company. After all, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been one of the best selling smartphones ever made by the company and Samsung wants to ensure that its consumers are happy. And as a step taken towards ensuring the same, Lee Young-hee, the executive vice president for marketing (Samsung mobile division) has revealed that the Galaxy S4 will be able to provide support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch by the end of October.
It is always good to get new information and updates from online sources in the form of rumors, but it is even better when the updates are given out by company officials. The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is one of the newest members added to the Galaxy family and Galaxy devices that have already been unveiled before will need some kind of work in order to support this new gadget.
So we now know that consumers will be able to use their Galaxy Gear with their Galaxy S4 by next month. Hence interested Galaxy S4 consumers can go ahead and get the Galaxy Gear watch as and when it’s available in your region.

Lee Young-hee also said that older Galaxy devices, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 will also be able to support the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
