Hewlett-Packard Co. Is in Its Second Attempt in the Tablet World

In Barcelona, it was during the Mobile World Congress that Hewlett-Packard Co. introduced their newest tablet PC.  As confirmed, HP releases an Android powered tablet that is forecasted to meet the needs of its consumers. This marks the start of the evolution of the new HP Android devices. According to Alberto Torres, this marks the start of a series of release of HP Android powered devices this year. Torres is an executive of HP who used to work with Nokia. A quoted statement by the executive says, “We’re moving very fast. It’s an important part of being successful in this market.”

To recall, Hewlett-Packard once released Touchpad but never made a mark in the tablet world. In the world of tablet PCs ruled by Apple and Samsung, Google and Amazon are also considered by HP as one of its top rivals. Millions of people are switching their computers to tablets every day; it is such a competition. HP has been dancing with the competition fairly, as this month it released a laptop powered by Chrome, an operating system by Google. The laptop is forecasted to hit the target despite the many competitors in the market. That is the reason why HP will continue to release a number of Android devices. At the same time, HP has been aiming to offer their customers a selection of models and prices.

The Slate 7 of Hewlett-Packard is equipped with a sound-enhancing technology. This is in partnership with the Beats Electronics LLC. It also features the specialized ePrint wireless software specially made for printing. The feature makes it more enticing to the corporate people. It will surely make the Slate 7 stand-out from its rivals.

The Slate 7 has a 1.6GHz processor from ARM. It also contains 8GB memory, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is said to be available in the later part of 2013. HP is gaining back its spot in the tablet world. It has been reported that HP exceeded its target forecast of earnings.
