The Motorola company still has not released a signature product of its own but, as of now, it has the Moto X to offer the smartphone market. On a related note, LG, which is already an established brand, also has its own G2 to compete against the trending mobile handsets. We can see that both of these are equipped with their own tricks and unique features to attract buyers everywhere. In this review, let us compare and contrast the structures these handsets have that are better than the other.

Build and Design

It stands at 4.7 inches tall and is available in black and white colors. It has external buttons which include volume control, lock and unlock key. For an individual who wants to take and use their mobile phones almost everywhere, this can be a perfect option.

On the other hand, the LG G2 has 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 mm of dimensions and 143 g of body weight. It is 5.2 inches tall which makes it slightly wider and heavier. Yet, it still exhibits a lustrous look that most people actually like to consider in looking for new gadgets. Also, it has version colors which are available in black and white.

System memory comes at 2GB RAM while maximum internal storage is 16GB. The battery can last up to 13 hours of talk time.

Correspondingly, the LG company also chose the Android version 4.2.2 to run its new G2 mobile phone with a Candybar form factor. The chipset will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 with a Quad core 2260 MHzKrait 400 processor. It will also have Adreno 330 as the graphics processor. In addition, there will be a 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The battery is Li-Po 3000 mAh but there is no information yet about how long it can last when being used.

It has an LED flash, auto focus, touch to focus, digital zoom, Geo-tagging, High Dynamic Range mode and panorama. The camcorder can capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 frames per second. This means a 1080p HD viewing of the video clips. There is also a frontal camera with 2MP. Its additional multimedia specifications include a music player and video playback both possible for earpiece and loudspeaker playing. There is also LTE connectivity, GPS positioning, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HTML5 browser.

Alternatively, the LG G2 has a 13MP camera with LED flash, back-illuminated sensor, auto focus, touch to focus, exposure compensation, ISO control, white balance presets, digital zoom, panorama, scenes, effects, self-timer and voice activation. The camcorder can capture at a similar 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 frames per second but with its own optical image stabilization. The frontal camera has 2.1MP which can also shoot a video like the camcorder. Multimedia features include a music player, video playback, FM, and stereo. LTE connectivity, GPS positioning, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HTML5 browser are also available.


The Motorola Moto X has smaller and lighter build, acceptable hardware choices which include the battery hours, and multimedia features compatible with a wider range of formats and file types. It is a simple smartphone capable of serving the device’s standard purpose. On the other hand, the LG G2 has a stockier design, better display features, respectable hardware specifications and amazing camera options. Also, it looks smooth and lustrous. Although both of these handsets do not exhibit a memory card slot, it seems that the LG G2 has still more to offer than the Motorola Moto X.
