Samsung smartphone users will have another thing to get excited to because of the new Android update coming soon.
Samsung Electronics announced that some of their existing phones in the current lineup will get a taste of the Android 4.3 update by the end of the year. These smartphones will include the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note II. The Android update for Samsung Galaxy S III and S4 will be expected to come out by the month of October or even by November according to reports. Meanwhile, the update for the Galaxy Note 3 predecessor might come out a later date, probably by late November or early December. These three Samsung smartphones will also have an upgraded Touchwiz Interface with some additional functions according to reports.
New Android 4.3 Update for Galaxy Mega Phablets Too?
Aside from the three Samsung smartphones mentioned, the company is also testing Galaxy Mega phablets for possible Android update. These phablet lineup is also expected to get a revamp software update soon after those three smartphones. Reports did not state further details about the new features of the Android 4.3 Jellybean update for the said smartphones and tablets but analysts are hopeful that they will also get same new features and function with the newly-released Galaxy Note 3 which is currently running on an Android 4.3 OS. Plus, a Touchwiz interface change or upgrade will also be a great addition
Still No Sure Date for the Said Phone OS Update
Samsung is announcing early about its plans for an Android update for its leading smartphones. However, the South Korean company did not mention any date that these updates will come out. Some rumors report that the company is close to getting finished about working on the updates but consumers are just more than excited for the new Android revamp. As of now, existing Samsung smartphone users just need to wait for further announcements regarding their much-awaited update.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the company’s flagship phone for the year 2013 while the Galaxy S III was the flagship smartphone back in the year 2012. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note II is a celebrated device and one of the best-selling phablets and the predecessor of the newly-released Note 3.
