Facebook’s successful subsidiary, which is Instagram has already confirmed that it will start posting and serving several advertisements using the photo social media site. It will be using photos and short videos to bring different ads to the users of the social media platform.
This is an announcement that follows the confirmation earlier announced by Facebook about the same issue. The date of as to when the feature will start isn’t confirmed yet. But, the company is certain that it won’t be very long and it’s going to be sooner than we think.
The Social Media Platform is Stable Enough to Venture Into a New Strategy
Back in the year 2012 in the month of September, Facebook has completed its acquisition of the photo sharing media site. Facebook acquired Instagram for almost $800 million or $715 million to be exact.
After the successful acquisition, there was never any big news for updates and upgrades of the website. However, Facebook has always been vocal and open to the public that its social media partner is getting bigger, it’s gaining more millions of users and that is economically successful.
Facebook focused first on stabilizing the social media site and make it strong enough to be able to enter a new venture. It never mentioned anything about monetizing the website, until now.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, things have already changed for Instagram. He has confirmed that the website is stable enough and will now be able to focus on earning to make it fund whatever upgrades it will be releasing in the future.
Interesting and Enjoyable Ads: To Be Available to U.S. Users First
Much to some of the users’ disappointment, the ads feature won’t be available to all of the users of the social media site around the world, at least not yet. The company officials have confirmed that it will be available to U.S. users first without mentioning anything as to when it will be available worldwide.
Instagram will also take advantage of the video sharing feature of the website. Some of the advertisements will also be available in 15-second video clips. The video clips no matter short, will still be accurate and will be of good quality.
“Seeing photos and videos from brands you don’t follow will be new, so we’ll start slow. We’ll focus on delivering a small number of beautiful, high-quality photos and videos from a handful of brands that are already great members of the Instagram community.”
This was a statement published on a certain blog by the company. The representatives weren’t also able to enumerate the first few brands that it will be advertising first.
Everyone is making money on the internet today. The photo sharing social media site has all the resources in doing so considering that it has millions of users around the world. These users can benefit a lot from these advertisements and the company will too.
This is another big step of the company that will surely create a big impact to the consumers again. How about you, would you be interested in any of Instagram’s advertisements or not?
