Sony Introduces Sony Xperia Tablet Z – Thinnest and Lightest Tablet

Sony always has a room for innovation and is on its step forward again in the world of tablets. Sony finally launched its first ever edition of tablet PC on the market. It is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, in relation to the Sony Xperia Z phone. This is another addition to the Xperia series. Sony is yet to introduce to the world the lightest and thinnest tablet ever.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z only weighs 1.1 pounds, lighter than the Apple iPad. The Apple iPad weighs 1.44 pounds, slightly heavier than the Xperia tablet. The Sony tablet appears to be very light considering that it has a 10-inch screen and as thin as 6.9mm. It will surely encourage customers considering that it is also the world’s thinnest tablet at this time. The tablet also features to stay in the water for 30minutes for as far as three meters.  A guarantee to adventure-seeker users will definitely love.

The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor by Qualcomm. It’s RAM also has a storage capacity of 26GB. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is expected to be very fast. Its screen also displays the quality of an AMOLED screen because it has 1080pixels to count. It has an 8MP back camera that will ensure great results and a front facing camera with 2MP, enough to record videos, take photos and use for video chats. It is equipped with 4.1 Jelly Bean Android and will soon release its latest version with 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Sony tablet is also equipped with NFC to connect with other Sony devices like the flat screen TVs and speakers. Its memory is also expandable by using a Micro SD card. It is considered to be a high-end tablet which will be available in the spring season. The 16GB tablet will cost $499 and the 32GB is at a price of $599.
