Acer has just released its first-ever Acer C720 Chromebook in the United Kingdom today and no one saw it coming. We never thought that a Haswell-powered Chromebook will be coming from Acer. It’s good to know that the Google Chrome operating system is slowly being accepted by the industry. These industries already have the confidence to release laptops running the operating system and it should be considered as a good sign for Google.
Chromebooks are really intended for consumers who would prefer to be living the luxury that the cloud can offer. This is the new breed of laptops that stores all files and data in the cloud with the help of the Chrome OS. The latest being released as we mentioned is the one from Acer. It’s the Acer C720 Chromebook and we’re about to know more about it now.
Increased Performance With Better And Longer Battery Life
Chromebooks are known to be fast and sturdy laptops. One of the reasons why these laptops are fast is its operating systems. It uses the web as its main hard drive or storage space, which is also the reason why these laptops power up so fast.
The previous Chromebooks by the company weren’t run by a Haswell processor. Now that the C720 is powered by a Haswell hardware, its battery life is expected to be so much better. The usual Chromebook’s battery can only last for four hours. But, the one powered by Haswell, which is the Acer C720, has a battery that can last for more than eight hours.
The Haswell hardware may not have a very huge impact or difference on the speed of the laptop, but it clearly makes a great difference in its battery life.
This Chromebook has hardware specifications that are fair enough to make it operate really fast. The processor is designed by Intel and paired with a 4GB of RAM. It has two kinds of USB ports – a 2.0 and a 3.0 port. Also, as any Chromebook should be, it’s wireless capable as it allows the users to use the web as its main storage space.
Has A Sturdier Design And Excellent Build While Keeping It Handy All The Time
Acer has kept this Chromebook to be handy and portable, which means we’re free to use it anywhere we want. It has a screen size of 11.6 inches. It has the same pixel resolution with the HP Chromebook 11 that has just been released yesterday.
However, it weighs 1.3 kg and makes it a few points heavier than the HP Chromebook. Nonetheless, it has a very slim and sleek design. It could’ve been better if it was a little lighter to justify its characteristic as a Chromebook.
The new Acer C720 will be available in stores by the end of this month. Are you ready to grab yours?
