Newly leaked HTC One Max images almost confirm that the flagship Android phablet will be equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back. The images also reveal that the phablet will have a design very similar to the HTC One and HTC One Mini smartphones.
Good news HTC fans and consumers, the HTC One Max will have a fingerprint sensor on the back! Considering that these images are legit (which we strongly believe they are), Apple will no longer be the only smartphone manufacturer to offer this unique feature, the fingerprint sensor. The only problem is, we still have to wait and watch, because HTC has not unveiled the One Max yet.
These leaked images come from the Chinese blog Xuite, who seems to have carried out a hands-on check of the device. If you check out the second image, you will clearly see the fingerprint sensor on the backside, but it doesn’t really go with the design. It actually seems that the feature was added on to the device at the last moment, or it would be safe to say that the feature wasn’t planned for from the beginning. On the contrary, the fingerprint sensor on the Apple iPhone 5S has been built right inside the home button, so one thing is for sure – Apple was totally serious about this feature and has put in a lot of efforts in the implementation process.
By the way, the HTC One Max phablet showcased in these images is the Chinese version, so it has dual-SIM support and a microSD card slot as well. The HTC One Max showcased here also features a removable back cover. We are not sure if the international models will have these two features, but we have our fingers crossed. Compared to the other two HTC One devices, the HTC One Max has some changes here and there. For instance, the power button is present on the side. The device also has an infrared port on the top.
One of the most interesting comparisons we would want to do is to compare the fingerprint sensor present in the Apple iPhone 5S with the one in the HTC One Max. Of course, they have bee placed in different positions, but we are interested in the level of security and the unique features they provide.
