Google Nexus 5 will have two versions, prices expected to start at $399

If you have been eagerly waiting for the Google Nexus 5, we have interesting news for you. Recent reports on the Internet have started giving out the prices at which the Google Nexus 5 smartphone will be available.

First let’s take a look at the point at hand – the Google Nexus 5 pricing. If you do not know already, the Google Nexus 5 is expected to be offered in two storage options – 16GB and 32GB. Interesting enough, it is also being said that the 16GB Google Nexus 5 will have a 2300mAh battery whereas the 32GB version will have a much higher capacity battery of 3000mAh.

And as far as the prices are concerned, the 16GB version of Nexus 5 will be priced at $399 whereas the 32GB version of Nexus 5 will be priced at $449. Not much of a difference between the two prices, if you consider the fact that you are getting double the storage and a battery that will last much longer than the 16GB version. These prices and details come from the site AndroidGeeks, and indicates that the 16GB model will be standard model (of course) whereas the 32GB model might have to be ordered separately.

But whatever be the case, there is one thing we are really interested in finding out. As mentioned in this post earlier, the 16GB version is expected to have a 2300mAh battery whereas the 32GB model will have a 3000mAh battery. Why would Google want to use a low capacity battery if the company was already able to fit a 3000mAh battery?

We believe that Google might have proper reasons for doing so, and on the other hand, it is very much possible that this information is not correct anyways. Google might actually have used the same battery in both, the 16GB version and the 32GB version. And as far as the other important specs and features are concerned, the Nexus 5 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, will have an 8MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

You must already be knowing that this new Google flagship device will be unveiled on the 28th of October. Google has given out a number of hints including ‘Everybody Dance Now!’ and ‘This Is It.’ But still, there has been no official announcement, hence we simply need to wait and watch as the days pass by (or till the time Google makes it official).
