And no matter what you were expecting from the Nokia Lumia 1520, no matter how good you expected it to be, if your expectations were realistic, then your Christmas day is already here! Get ready to check out the Nokia Lumia 1520 officially for the first time, here we go.
Nokia Lumia 1520
This is one name that Nokia and Windows fans and consumers have been talking about since a very long time. The rumor mill has had a great time with the Lumia 1520 with the number of leaked images and spec sheets coming in and going on every now and then.
But finally (yes we are saying it one more time), the Nokia Lumia 1520 is here and is surely going to bring Nokia back into the smartphone battle! Let us check out what the Lumia 1520 is all about.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first-ever full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display phablet running on Windows. The device has a 6-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of about 376ppi (pixels per inch).
The device is equipped with the chipset that has been powering almost every next-gen smartphone and phablet out in the market today, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The Lumia 1520 is powered by a 2.2GHz Krait 400 quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU and has 2GB of RAM. If you knew how fast Windows phones were with the dual-core processor, you can just imagine what’s going to happen with this new 2.2GHz quad-core beast.
CAMERA and STORAGE
Other important specs and features of the Nokia Lumia 1520 include 32GB of internal storage, microSD card support for cards up to 64GB, 20MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss lens, Optical Image Stabilization, autofocus and dual-LED flash. The secondary camera on the device is a standard 1.2MP one.
This is one specification that has completely taken us by surprise! Since the time the Nokia Lumia 1520 hit the rumor mill, we were expecting the phablet to have a decent battery capacity of 2000mAh to 2500mAh at the most.
But Nokia has actually surprised us all, and by far has surpassed our expectations by loading a massive 3400mAh Li-Ion battery. Of course, like most other Lumia smartphones, the battery is non-removable.
All in all, the Nokia Lumia 1520 results to be a big hit! With a price tag of $749 (without taxes and subsidies), the device might seem to be over-priced, but we don’t think that Windows fans and consumers would take this as a drawback. The price is definitely worth what you get in return, and if you simply wait for the right time and the right offer, you might as well save a lot of money on the deal.
We will be back with a lot more updates as well as a detailed review of the Lumia 1520 soon. But for now, check out the detailed spec sheet given out here and also let us know if you would want us to cover anything specific regarding the Lumia 1520.
