We have great news for LG fans and consumers who have supported LG by buying the LG G2 flagship smartphone. The company has officially shipped more than 12 million units of the LG G2, setting a new milestone for the company.
If you have been following LG and the happenings about the LG G2, then you must be knowing that LG earlier announced its plans of shipping at least 10 million units by this quarter. Well the good news is that the company has crossed this 10 million mark, and even surpassed an estimation that was though to be good enough.
To be honest, we did not take this news as a surprise when LG gave it out. The LG G2 is definitely a great smartphone and there is no reason why the handset wouldn’t be able to attract consumers all over the world. The LG G2 has the best of hardware and the latest software coupled with a magnificent battery that makes the smartphone a definite winner!
Now coming to the official numbers, LG said that it has shipped 12 million units of the LG G2, and the count goes on increasing as you read. The company posted an operating profit of 217.8 billion won (around $196.34 million) for Q3 this year. Compare this value with the profit last year and you will be happy to know that there is a 27 percent increase. The final verdict – LG is back in the game!
By the way, LG has no plans to settle down any time soon. The company is still betting on the LG G2, and expect the handset to make even more sales, especially during the holiday season this year! The year 2013 is coming to an end, but Q4 could turn out to be a Christmas miracle for the Korean smartphone manufacturer.
Anyways, the LG G2 is not the only smartphone being sold by the company. There are a number of other star performers that are expected to steal the show. Let us also not forget the remaining units of LG Nexus 4 that are being made available to consumers at discounted rates. The list also includes other devices like the LG Optimus G, Optimus G Pro, L II series and the F series.
So if you have not got your hands on the LG G2 yet, you should know that it is a smartphone worth checking out. The home and volume buttons placed on the back of the device might seem to be a problem to you, but believe us when we say that you will get used to it. And the best part about the LG G2, apart from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset is the high performance 3000mAh battery present on the device. It has been said that the battery was even able to outperform the 3500mAh battery present on the Motorola Droid Maxx.
