If you are tired of hearing that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been performing poorly in the market, we have good news for you! And if you have heard that Galaxy S4 sales are not meeting the expectations Samsung had from the flagship device, then we have good news for you as well!
In spite of the numerous reports saying that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been performing badly in the market, Samsung has finally cleared things out for us. JK Shin, the Mobile Chief at Samsung has finally given out the actual sales figures of the Galaxy S4. When speaking to the Korean media, the Samsung chief said that the company’s Galaxy S4 flagship has already crossed the 40 million sales mark.
Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung officially unveiled its new flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S4 at a special event that took place in the month of March this year. The Samsung Galaxy S4 went on sale some time after its unveiling, meaning that it has hardly been about 7 months. And within these 7 months, the smartphone has been able to cross the 40 million sales mark! This is a big achievement for Samsung and if you compare this number with the sales figure of the LG G2, you will be even more proud of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Recently LG announced that its flagship device, the LG G2 has crossed the 12 million sales mark, meaning that the S4 sold more than 3 times of G2! Let us also not forget that the LG G2 has a much better processor and higher capacity battery compared to the Galaxy S4. Please keep in mind that we do not want to start choosing between these two flagship Android smartphones, we are more interested in comparing their sales.
Samsung has been working hard to ensure that its customers get quality service and up-to-date software releases. Recently, the company even took the initiative to provide free batteries to consumers who were having a problem with their current batteries. Of course, it would have been much better if the company ensured that such a scenario did not come up, but it’s too late for that now.
Now coming to the other interesting fact we pointed out in the title – the Samsung Galaxy S5! It is now clear that the Galaxy S4 is doing great, so does the company really need to come up with the Galaxy S5 by January next year? As a matter of fact, Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Note 3, and for those who are not interested in phablets, Samsung is already providing a variety of options in terms of the Galaxy S4 family of devices. Consumers can choose between a number of devices that include:
- Standard Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500)
- Galaxy S4 Dual-SIM (GT-I9502)
- Google Edition Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505)
- LTE-A Galaxy S4 (GT-I9506)
- Galaxy S4 Active (GT-I9295)
- Galaxy S4 Zoom (SM-C1010)
- Galaxy S4 Mini (I9190)
- Galaxy S4 Mini Dual-SIM (I9192)
So with all these options in the market, Samsung would definitely want to wait for some more time before coming up with the Galaxy S5. The company wants the S5 to be a game changer, an Android smartphone that will be like no other. And in order to make this happen, the company cannot afford to simply make hasty decisions and roll out the Galaxy S5 as soon as possible!
